Community Connections: The Denver Hospice Participates in Highlands Ranch Senior Center Expo

Local outreach events help raise awareness about hospice and palliative care services for patients and families across the Denver region

Building strong relationships in the community is an important part of the mission of The Denver Hospice. Recently, our team participated in the Highlands Ranch Senior Center Senior Center Expo, where we hosted an information table and connected with local residents, caregivers, and community partners.

Community events like this provide valuable opportunities to share information about hospice and palliative care, answer questions, and help people better understand the supportive services available to individuals facing serious illness. Many attendees stopped by our table to learn more about advance care planning, the hospice philosophy of care, and how our team supports both patients and families.

Outreach events also help ensure that people know where to turn when they or a loved one need compassionate, expert care. By participating in community gatherings, health expos, and educational events, The Denver Hospice can build relationships that make it easier for families to access resources when they need them most.

Our team was grateful for the warm welcome from the Highlands Ranch Senior Center and for the chance to meet so many engaged community members. Every conversation helps increase awareness about the importance of hospice and palliative care—and reminds us why community connection is such an essential part of our work.

As we continue to serve the Denver metro area, we look forward to participating in more community events and strengthening the partnerships that allow us to provide comfort, dignity, and support to patients and families during life’s most challenging moments.
