Volunteer Opportunities

THERE ARE A NUMBER OF WAYS TO VOLUNTEER, SUCH AS:

Patient Care Volunteer – Providing support to families is an incredibly rewarding experience. There are many ways you can offer assistance – to a family in their home, at a long-term care facility, or in The Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center. Think about the different ways your unique skills and interests would be best utilized…Visiting patients. Providing companionship and support. Relieving caregivers. Telephone support for patients and families, or simply being there to listen.

Grief Center Volunteer – When a family member is experiencing grief, a phone call or visit can make all the difference in the world. Bereavement volunteers are trained to give practical and emotional support to family members in need.

Office and Special Projects Volunteer – Maybe you’re a behind the scenes kind of person. Then a clerical or office support position might be just what you’re looking for. We also need people to help organize our special events and fundraisers held throughout the year – and volunteer at booths and exhibits. Or help educate people in the community about The Denver Hospice and all of the important things that we do.

Volunteer roles are continually evolving; please call us if you have a special skill or talent you would like to share.
