The Denver Hospice

For over three decades, more than 60,000 patients and their family members have turned to us for care and comfort during difficult times.
As Colorado’s leader in hospice and palliative care we are committed to caring for everyone who comes through our door wherever they call home.
The Denver Hospice cares for the elderly at the end of their long, rich lives, those struck far too young by advanced illness, offers comfort to those who choose to battle their life-limiting illness, offers comfort and grief counseling to families and friends.

National Jewish Accreditation

nijh_accredited_logo.jpgThe Denver Hospice is accredited by the National Institute for Jewish Hospices (NIJH) to meet your end-of-life needs.

We were founded by Carolyn Jaffe, an oncology nurse of the Jewish faith.  Carolyn’s passion was to provide specialized care for our community to ensure high quality end-of-life care. We continue this passion today through our accreditation with NIJH. We are only of a select few care providers in the nation and the only hospice in Colorado to merit this honor.  NIJH serves as a resource and educational center to support issues and challenges of serving the Jewish terminally ill.

What value does our accreditation offer the patient and family of Jewish faith?

Accreditation speaks to the quality of care we provide and our attention to special requirements and requests to ensure end-of-life care abides by Jewish traditions and wishes of patients and families.  Our staff is trained, aware and sensitive to the traditions that make Judaism unique and special. We honor existing relationships with congregational Rabbis or we have a Rabbi on staff to assist you.
We welcome the opportunity to work with you.  For more information please contact our
